What's yours? Position Overview We are seeking an accounting professional who is driven, goal-oriented, and thrives in a varied and fast paced environment with the ability to build strong professional working relationships at all levels.
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for month-end and year-end financial reporting, analysis and making day to day decisions about financial accounts including journal entries.
This position requires a strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger, and cost accounting.
This position reports directly to the Controller.
What you'll do Preparing routine reports summarizing sales by customer and by product line Analyzing and reporting on cost variances Drafting narrative reports discussing deviations from budget or forecast Reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts (sales, cost of sales, accruals, and reserves) Maintenance of fixed assets including posting of depreciation, journal entries, reconciliation, master data maintenance, reporting and tagging Forecasting and budgeting as well as other AD Hoc reporting Team collaboration:
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial strategies.
Other duties as assigned Hybrid workplace:
3 days in office/2 days remote Who you are Bachelor's Degree in accounting and/or Finance 3
years accounting/finance with a general accounting knowledge in a manufacturing environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks Strong knowledge of Excel skills and the ability to manage large data sets - including charts and pivot tables etc.
EPM and ERP systems
Experience:
Smart View, MS Dynamics, SAP, Hyperion etc.
Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations Ability to concisely communicate information in written and verbal form Ability to travel up to 5% for training, site visits and vendor meetings.
